Bereits seit der gelungenen s/s 2010 Kollektion stehen bei mir Proenza Schouler hoch im Kurs. Sie sind definitiv die Cool Kids der New York Fashion Week, wie style.com berechtigt schreibt. Für den kommenden Winter zeigen die beiden Designer rebellische Göre meets 90er Grunge-Ära. Zersauste Haare, dunkle Lippen und die fantastische Musik rundeten, die in schwarz und marinblau gehaltene Kollektion ab. Die Graffitti-Hosen entstanden in Kollaboration mit J Brand. Für mich bis jetzt die beste Kollektion von der New Yorker Modewoche. Selbst Anne Wintour hatte während der ganzen Show ihr Markenzeichen, die Sonnenbrille, nicht auf der Nase- und das muss schon was heißen?!

Auch in der Märzausgabe der Vogue Australia taucht dieser Look auf. Abbey sieht einfach fantastisch aus. Jetzt würde ich nur noch gerne wissen, wie man sich bitte so die Haare färbt?!

Alexander McQueen commits suicide

Another genius has left the fashion world. ;(

British fashion designer Alexander McQueen has been found dead after taking his own life.
The 40-year-old committed suicide just three years after his close friend, Isabella Blow - who plucked him from obscurity and helped him become a star - killed herself.
A source at McQueen’s office this afternoon confirmed his death, saying: ‘It is a tragic loss. We are not making a comment at this time out of respect for the McQueen family.’
His death comes just days before the start of London Fashion Week and weeks before he was due to unveil his new collection at Paris Fashion Week on March 9.
