L.A.-born Kimberly Ovitz graduated from Parsons School of Design before launching her label this spring/summer 2009. For s/s 2010 season she showed an effortless, grungy and nonchalant look. A standout was a floor-length caftan dress with a horse graphic. Strapless dresses, slouchy casual ensembles and a silky blue hooded dress were also presented at NY Milk studios.

movie: The Black Balloon

The Black Balloon is a touching and at times difficult story about a young boy’s struggle to understand and accept his autistic brother.
The Mollisons are a plucky family who have just moved to the suburbs of Sydney. Thomas (Rhys Wakefield), the middle son, is an affable boy trying to fit in at his latest school. While his parents prepare for the birth of their latest child, Thomas’ responsibilities involving his brother increase. This change results in embarrassment for Thomas who desperately wants to maintain the image of normalcy around his classmates - particularly the charming Jackie (Gemma Ward) on whom he has a crush.
Dealing with the effects of Charlie’s autism the family (particularly Thomas) is tested. The film doesn’t shy away from showing the difficulties and tribulations associated with caring for a sick one, nor does it glamorize or exploit Charlie’s condition.

1. Lindsay Lohan's debut at Emanuel Ungaro turned into a disaster. The house presented the first collection designed by Estrella Archs under the artistic advisement of Lindsay Lohan. The fashion world laughed when Lindsay's appointment was announced- and all we can hear after the show is: "an embarrassment," adding it looked "cheesy and dated" with an "overworked" heart motif. Sorry LiLo!
